The Northern Ireland Association for the Study of Psychoanalysis (NIASP) was established in 1988. We are a professional association and a training institution for psychoanalytic psychotherapists. NIASP members have extensive clinical experience as psychoanalysts, psychoanalytic psychotherapists, child psychotherapists, group analysts, psychiatrists and supervisors. NIASP is a member organisation of the British Psychoanalytic Council: a group which exists to promote and ensure the highest standards in professional practice, training and ethics. All full members of NIASP are registered with the BPC and practice within the code of professional conduct, ethics and complaints procedure. NIASP is the only BPC recognised professional and training organisation in Northern Ireland.
